A SEX attacker who robbed an American tourist near Stirling Castle has been warned he could face a life sentence.Toby McGeoch, 25, targeted two women in Stirling in less than 10 hours.The city's sheriff court heard he attacked his first victim near her home just after midnight on March 31 last year.He grabbed her wrists saying "Come on, come on" while she shouted "Get off me", hoping neighbours would hear. She then texted a friend, saying, "Someone just tried to rape me in my close... I managed to get him off." About 10am that day, McGeoch targeted a 27-year-old female American tourist who was visiting the castle with a female friend.He approached them in Kingstables Lane and asked if he could go with them.On being told no, he punched her in the face before making a sexual comment and stealing her bag. She was left "with blood all over her clothing".McGeoch was arrested at home.Appearing by video link from Low Moss Prison, McGeoch, of Stirling, pleaded guilty to sexual assault with intent to rape, and assault and robbery.Sheriff Keith O'Mahony said: "I'm satisfied that this matter should be remitted to the High Court for sentence." He said this was because the gravity of the offences meant an order for lifelong restriction might be required.
