MIKEL ARTETA celebrated Arsenal bringing "chaos" to the title race as Jurgen Klopp suffered the first setback on his farewell tour.

The Gunners closed the gap on leaders Liverpool to two points in a frenzied contest littered by Ibrahima Konate's late sending-off and nine yellow cards.

As Arsenal inflicted the Reds' first Premier League defeat since September, boss Arteta hailed "an incredible performance from the players and our people".

Liverpool skipper Virgil van Dijk accepted the blame for the howler that allowed.

Gabriel Martinelli to put Arsenal 2-1 up-after Brazilian Gabriel's comedy own goal gifted the leaders a leveller.

But nothing could remove the gloss from a vital win for Arteta who said: "We had to go to a different level and connect it again to the demands this league has.
