Insurer refuses to pay over scooter plunge

CLIFF FALL NURSE'S £10K BILL

A SCOTS nurse stranded in Thailand after suffering serious injuries falling from a cliff was hit with a £10,000 bill.

Kerry Hughes, 35, arrived in the Asian country on January 9 with plans to travel around it for four weeks.

While enjoying her time on the island of Ko Lanta, she rented a scooter but on January 22 the nurse plunged 65ft off a cliff face to the beach below with the vehicle.
