COCAINE DEALING STRIKER BACK IN ACTION

A FOOTBALLER who dodged jail after being caught with a £60,000 drug haul returned to play for his team wearing an electronic tag.

Craig Ferrier was caught by police with the massive stash of cocaine and heroin concealed behind an access hatch in his bathroom wall.

The 23-year-old narrowly escaped a prison term and within days was turning out again for Edinburgh United.

Ferrier was ordered to wear the tag and stay at home between 9pm and 7am for the next 12 months when he was sentenced at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in October.

He was also placed on a year's supervision after Sheriff Kenneth McGowan decided "that by a pretty narrow margin you are suitable for a community disposal".
