THREE illegal immigrants are facing jail and deportation for setting up £2.3million cannabis farms.Detectives raided two premises in Dundee and discovered more than 3000 plants being tended to by Albanian gangsters.The trio, who went underground after their asylum bids were refused, now face jail and deportation for being in charge of one of the largest cannabis-growing operations found in Scotland.Dundee Sheriff Court was told adisused warehouse and a former garage in the city had been converted into huge drug farms.The warehouse on Lorne Street was used to grow 912 plants with a yield of £684,000. Officers searched a second premises the former Pro-Fit vehicle servicing unit on Ash Street — where 2242 cannabis plants were seized.The court was told the potential street value of a fully matured crop would be £1,681,000.Xauliano Mataj, 32, and Vilson Bilo, 29, admitted cultivating cannabis and being concerned in its supply on January 8. Adiol Hila, 36, admitted producing cannabis at Ash Street on the same date. They were remanded in custody for sentencing. Solicitors said all three accepted they face jail, then deportation back to Albania. Solicitor Scott Norrie, for Hila, said: "He knows a custodial sentence will be inevitable."
