A COLLECTION of letters sent by the aunt of Beatles legend John Lennon to a Scots fan has been snapped up for £850 at auction.
The notes were exchanged between Mimi Smith and Jacqueline Grierson from Dreghorn, Ayrshire, in the 60s.
They contain references to Lennon and include details of his busy recording schedule in Germany and Spain.
