GERS STRIP ROW CASE IS SETTLED

LAWYERS involved in a multimillion-pound Rangers football kit sales dispute settled the case in a "Fergie-time" deal yesterday.

Lord Braid said the matter had been concluded "in the last minute of stoppage time" just before the case was due to begin after being told that parties in a £9.5million compensation claim against the Ibrox outfit had settled.

The judge made the remark in proceedings brought against the club by sportswear firm Elite Sports Group Ltd.

Elite's lawyer David Thomson said just before the case was settled: "We are not so much as into stoppage time but what has been described as Fergie time."
