Scots keep focus to claim impressive win

CLAIRE EMSLIE'S double helped Scotland get the job done on the pitch against Israel during a night of protests off it.

With the game played behind closed doors, there were demonstrations outside Hampden while the kick-off was held up by half an hour.

A protester chained himself by the neck to a goalpost with a specialist police unit deployed to free him.

The Israeli players belted out their national anthem in what felt like a show of defiance. The team then held up a T-shirt with the words "Bring them home, Naama we are waiting for you".
