TYRRELL HATTON is set to become the latest star to defect to LIV Golf in a £50million deal.

The world No.16 is expected to be unveiled tomorrow in time to start the breakaway circuit's new season on Friday in Mexico.

The switch poses another question over selection for Europe's Ryder Cup team in New York come next year, with Jon Rahm already signed up to the Saudi-backed tour.

LIV failed to lure Tommy Fleetwood and Nicolai Hojgaard, two crucial cogs in last year's success in Rome, and then made Hatton their top target.
