Heart attack dad drowns at Florida water park

A SCOTS dad drowned at a water park in Florida while on holiday with his wife and son.

Doug Reid suffered a heart attack snorkelling at Discovery Cove in Orlando.

The 51-year-old was found unresponsive in a pool by staff at the resort who pulled him out of the water. He was taken to a local hospital but later passed away.

Doug, from Ellon in Aberdeen, had flown out for a two-week trip with wife Angela and their son, Sam, just five days before the tragedy.

The devastated family are now making arrangements to bring his body home.
