A PRISON officer wept as she told yesterday how she took bandanas into a young offenders institution for a university student who was losing her hair.

Inmate Katie Allan had wanted to cover up hair loss from the stress-related condition alopecia before she later took her own life.

Katie, 21, had been taunted and called "a baldy b*****d" by other girls, a fatal accident inquiry at Falkirk Sheriff Court heard.
