GAVIN MOLLOY is in good hands whenever advice is needed thanks to his football family.
The Aberdeen summer signing from Shelbourne has a unique ancestry as his uncle Tommy Dunne was ex-Cork City manager, former Man City defender Richard Dunne is Molloy’s second cousin and grandfather Theo who captained Shelbourne at the Camp Nou in the 1963 Cup-Winners Cup.
The Irishman admits uncle Tommy hasn’t been short of advice and grandad Theo was an old-school critic as Molloy also hailed the no-nonsense Richard and wants to replicate the career he had in the blue half of Manchester.
He said: “My uncle has given me advice since I was a young lad and my grandad would have been my biggest critic.
“We would have been out training with him every day and he was over in the house in the back.
