A year ago he was approached by Bristol-based robotics firm Open Bionics, which was looking to test the prototype of its Hero Gauntlet.
The active partial hand prosthetic is custom-made for each user using 3D scanning, printing and modelling tech.
It enables those born without fingers or who have undergone partial amputation to regain functionality.
