Supersub White grabs winner as Staggies roar back to climb out of bottom two
JORDAN FIGHT

JORDAN WHITE blew away months of frustration by blasting Ross County closer to safety.

White's superb late strike hammered Hibs and moved Don Cowie's side out of the bottom two.

It was a magical moment for the Highlanders and, for White himself, also huge.

The striker climbed off the bench to prove valuable but it was just a second goal in 22 outings.

With top gun Simon Murray on fire, it's not been easy for the 32-year-old to get minutes.

And White said: "It's been personally a wee bit frustrating since the turn of the year.

"A lot of things have happened, but sometimes you've just got to get on with it.

"You fight through the hard times for moments like that.

"You want to be playing all the time. But as a group, since Don's taken over, we've done really well, especially at home.

"I just needed to keep working hard and I got my reward. But it's a reward for the team as well." Asked to elaborate on those "things" that happened or whether he'd chapped Cowie's door, White said: "That's all in-house stuff. But one thing is, we're all pulling in the same direction.

"You've just got to keep yourself right and when the time comes and the chance comes, you've got to take it.

"I was happy I did that but we have a lot of big games coming up.

"It's huge but it's just another game. That's us above St Johnstone now and we want to just keep that.
