A LEADING lawyer whose former clients included Sir Billy Connolly, Sir Paul McCartney and Old Firm stars has died, aged 90.
Len Murray became one of the most prominent defence lawyers in Scotland during a 40-year career.
He represented Connolly after he was accused of hitting a Sunday newspaper reporter in 1978. And he appeared for McCartney when cannabis plants were found in his farmhouse near Campbeltown, Argyll.
Murray also acted for Celtic and Rangers players after a fracas during an Old Firm match at Ibrox in 1987.
