HOPES of a reconciliation between warring princes William and Harry have been dashed.
The Duke of Sussex is said to be disappointed with his estranged brother for not making any plans for them to meet.
A royal insider has suggested William has no desire for Harry’s trip to Britain to be a “vehicle” for a reunion between the brothers.
While a source close to Harry said: “The Duke’s primary reason to travel to the UK is to visit his father.
“If the opportunity were to arise to see the Prince of Wales then the Duke would have gladly accepted it.” But insiders said Harry’s brief meeting with the King yesterday is “unlikely to be a major catalyst” for change.
Sources close to the Prince of Wales say he remains focused on his wife Kate, 42 – who is recovering from abdominal surgery and is taking extended leave from public duties until after Easter – and their children.
He is also preparing to take on extra duties to cover for the King during what is expected to be a prolonged absence.
