DESPITE his battle with cancer, the King attended 464 official engagements in the past year, official accounts reveal.
Charles, 75, was diagnosed in January after having treatment for an enlarged prostate.
The figures for the year to April show the number of official engagements by the Royal Family fell from 2700 to 2300.
The Princess of Wales, 42, announced in March that she was having chemotherapy.
Kate and the King’s double cancer diagnosis has forced them both away from publicfacing duties.
The figures for official engagements are revealed in Buckingham Palace’s annual accounts, the Sovereign Grant report, covering the first full financial year of the King’s reign.
This period included the Coronation, which Sir Michael Stevens, Keeper of the Privy Purse, described as a “glorious moment in our national story”.
