Party row grandad on trespass charge

A GRANDAD has been accused of breaking the law and could be sent to prison in Dubai - after asking for music to be turned down while babysitting.

Ian McKellar, 75, was in the United Arab Emirates to help his daughter and granddaughter settle in their new home after moving to the Middle East.

He was looking after her on Hogmanay, with his daughter due to get up for work at 5.30am. He asked neighbours having a party if they could keep the noise down at about lam.

But the neighbours were reportedly incensed at the request, with his granddaughter allegedly having a drink poured over her.
