Paying to see Scotland on TV is like poll tax

AN MP has called for the BBC and STV to stump up cash to make Scotland matches free-to-air.

Alba's Kenny MacAskill said it is "unfair" for broadcasters "to pay for England games but not Scottish ones".

He likened the subscription fees paid by Scots to a return of Margaret Thatcher's poll tax.

Fans of Steve Clarke's team have to stump up for a Viaplay subscription if they want to watch qualifying games in their home.
