RANGERS MUST PAY AXED KITMAN £13K

RANGERS bosses have been ordered to pay a former kitman almost £13,000 for unfairly sacking him.

Former Dundee and Morton midfielder Jim McAlister, 38, quit his playing career to work off the field for his boyhood heroes.

He was initially reported to be in a logistics role behind the scenes at Rangers' training centre, involving working with Ibrox kitman Jimmy Bell.

When Bell passed away in 2022, Jim is understood to have assumed full responsibilities. However, he left Ibrox in July last year and the circumstances around his departure were never confirmed.
