SHEENA Easton has insisted she feels welcome in Scotland despite being booed and bottled at a Glasgow festival.

The Bellshill-born 9 to 5 and Modern Girl singer vowed to never perform in Scotland again after being pelted with bottles, some full of urine, when she sang at Glasgow's Big Day in 1990.

After moving to the US, however, she is now a frequent visitor back home and was spotted in a chocolate shop in the Highlands last week.

Sheena said: "Well, I haven't performed back in Scotland for a long time but I was back in the West End in London doing 42nd Street. That wasn't that long ago.

"I had lots of people from Scotland coming down on the train to London to see the show.
