The first time I was called a widow took my breath away...

KATE Garraway described her shock at being called a widow for the first time as she returned to host Good Morning Britain after the funeral of husband Derek Draper.

Emotional Kate was back presenting the ITV breakfast show yesterday after taking a leave of absence following Derek's death on January 3, aged 56.

She said it was "lovely" to be back, alongside co-host Ben Shephard - but admitted feeling "wobbly".

Ben read out messages of support from viewers, one of which said: "As a widow, I know those wobbly feelings. Thank you for thinking of others."
