A TV sports presenter has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of raping a child.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was said to have been quizzed by police after a 4am raid of his home.
Devices and documents were understood to have been seized by officers during the raid of the married telly host's property in the south of England earlier this week.
The historic allegations relate to a child who was aged 10 at the time while the suspect was working in the television industry.
It is claimed the victim was sexually abused on more than one occasion over a period of time.
His employers have been made aware of the police investigation.
The complainant recently made the allegation, with police launching a probe shortly after.
The person was interviewed by specialist child abuse investigation officers at a dedicated suite and a probe was launched.
Neighbours to the property said they were shocked by the raid and subsequent allegations.
