Girlfriend and a neighbour saved man who was left with deep gash to his leg

A VICTIM of a bullytype dog attack has shared graphic images of his injuries.

The powerful dog, Zeus, launched a savage attack in Hamilton on Tuesday, forcing armed police to taser and shoot the creature four times to save its owner's life.

A second man, Michael McCafferty, who was also injured in the attack, posted a picture of his horrific injuries on social media.

In the image, Michael's leg has a deep gash behind his knee.

Michael recalled that he was walking to the shop with his girlfriend and spoke to a man with the dog.

He said: "Before you know it, the dog ran across the grass pulling the owner right off his feet.
