SIR Rod Stewart has once again said that Keir Starmer "deserves a crack" at running the country.
The Sailing hit-maker, a former Tory supporter, blasted the party for switching PM twice without giving voters a say after previously condemning it over NHS failures.
Sir Rod, 79, said: "Keir Starmer and Labour deserve a crack at it.
"If there was anyone else we could vote for, then maybe. But they should be given a shot. I live here [in the UK] now - didn't used to and I see what the Conservatives get up to." Rock legend Rod, who was speaking to The Times, added: "I liked Boris Johnson. He was a good figurehead but he turned out to be a lying public schoolboy.
"He got found out and things haven't been much better since. How many prime ministers have we had that haven't been voted for? What's all that about?" Rod made headlines in January 2023, when he rang a phone-in on Sky News to complain about the state of the NHS.
"I think this government should stand down now, and give the Labour Party a go at it," he said at the time.
