LIVERPOOL keeper Alisson will miss at least seven games with a hamstring injury in a hammer blow for the Reds.
The Brazil keeper picked up the injury in the Merseysiders' 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Alisson, 32, underwent a scan on Monday to diagnose the issue and it is serious enough to rule him out until after next month's international break.
There is a good chance he won't return until the end of November.
Caoimhin Kelleher will deputise in his absence but head coach Arne Slot will be without the Brazilian's experience for a crucial run of games.
Liverpool will be without Alisson for games against Chelsea, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, Brighton (in the Premier League and Carabao Cup), Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa.
