HARRY KANE became the first Englishman to score 50 European goals to keep Bayern Munich’s hopes of a trophy this season alive.
The England captain has now scored a staggering 33 goals in 33 games in his first season for the Bavarian giants.
He left Tottenham to win trophies but the Bundesliga champions of the last 11 seasons trail Xabi Alonso’s unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen by 10 points.
The 1-0 first-leg defeat in Rome – in the middle of three consecutive losses last month – saw Thomas Tuchel announce he was leaving at the end of the season.
