NANNYING bar bosses are telling staff to drop phrases like "Same again?" in a bid to cut binge drinking.
The guidance, which is found in alcohol industry training manuals, encourages staff to avoid language such as, "Do you want a large?", or "Would you like a single or double measure?". Patrick Villemin, of the&nbsp;International Alliance for Responsible Drinking, which produced the guidance, said: "We've crafted these tools to support retailers and hospitality venues to sell alcohol responsibly."
Henry Ashworth, president of the IARD, added: "Together we can help ensure the positive&nbsp;declines in harmful drinking seen in many parts of the world continue to spread, creating long-lasting changes in communities."
The IARD expects thousands of people to use the training in the UK and abroad - but says pubs can adapt it to their own needs.
It also states staff should be empowered to deny sales when&nbsp;necessary so alcohol can be sold lawfully and responsibly.
Michael Kill, chief executive officer of the Night Time Industries Association, believes punters are "already showing greater consideration in their consumption habits"
