BUSINESSMAN Jim Buckley was stunned when an Al chatbot branded him a mass murdering terrorist.
The former boss, 79, decided to test the ChatGPT after his grandson, 14, started using it.
Jim was chief executive of the maritime industry's Baltic Exchange membership organisation in London when it was bombed in 1992, left, by the Provisional IRA, killing three people and injuring 91. When he entered his name, job and "IRA bombing" into ChatGPT it said he was responsible for the attack.
The bot said: "Jim Buckley was an Irish republican paramilitary and member of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) who was responsible for the 1992 bombing of the Baltic Exchange.
"In 1993, he was found guilty on all charges and sentenced to life." When Jim tried to set the record straight, he was again told he was behind it.
The bot responded: "I'm sorry, but Jim Buckley was not the chief executive of the Baltic Exchange."
Jim said it showed the need for caution when relying on AI. He added: "I look at it two ways - one is that it's laughable but the other is this could be really serious."&nbsp;
