AMAZON'S video doorbell firm is hoping to help fight crime by letting victims share footage of criminals.
The shopping giant, which bought Ring in 2015, is planning to release a neighbourhood watch-style app in the UK.
The tech, called Neighbours, allows homeowners to share footage of criminals caught on their camera-enabled doorbells.
It is already in use in the US, notifying users of any crimes or safety alerts near their home.
Ring's Liz Hamren said the UK was one of their "biggest and most important" markets. She said: "Our goal is to let people know that they're being recorded because they're standing in front of a doorbell transparency is the really important part."
Smart doorbells can act as a deterrent to crime - especially parcel theft.
