A BRIT woman was savaged by a yak while trekking to Everest and had to be airlifted to hospital.
Emma Keen, 42, suffered a 3in gash to the leg from the animal's horn and was bleeding heavily.
Shop manager Emma said: "Without warning I could hear the hoofs pounding towards me, a sharp stabbing pain in the top of my leg.
"It threw me up in the air around a metre and I landed back down with a thud.

Emma, of Bridgend, south Wales, needed 10 stitches - but was determined to finish the 130km trek for Kidney Wales and did the final stages on horseback.
