FRY-UP fans are vowing to "save our sausages" after it was revealed the amount of pork in many bangers has gone down while prices have shot up.
Manufacturers are cutting back on meat and stuffing them with fillers such as water and rusk.
The findings are based comparison on a between figures from a Which? survey in 2019 and one this year.
Tesco, Marks Spencer and Sainsbury's&nbsp;have all reduced the meat content in certain lines.
And the percentage varies from 97% down to 42% in Richmond's - the lowest level allowed by government guidelines to even be labelled as pork&nbsp;sausages. Experts say bangers with less pork can taste better. But customers are angry, with one saying: "This watering down of quality and shrinkflation is happening across the board and we all must be alert to it and vote with our feet."
And another predicted the demise of a British favourite: "Insect protein sausage is coming for sure."
