<p>In 2004 football pundit Ron Atkinson quit ITV after claiming he wasn&rsquo;t a racist despite using a racial slur about ex-Chelsea star Marcel Desailly.</p>
<p>Atkinson cited his record of signing black players for West Brom as proof.</p>
