Angry fans demanded refunds after visiting a "bleak" room, which reminded them of the now infamous Wonka gig in Glasgow.
The Brick Fest Live experience at NEC Birmingham promised "a jawdropping collection of creations".
But attendees said the &pound;35 spectacle, which Lego does not endorse, was a sparse offering of attractions.
Steven Halsey, 70, from Corby, Northants, said: "I have more Lego in my house than they had there." The event's organisers, Lego and NEC Birmingham, have been approached for comment.
