<p><strong>BLUE singer Lee Ryan has been handed a 12-month suspended jail term for racially abusing a flight attendant on a BA flight.&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>The singer, 40, was &ldquo;staggering around&rdquo; after drinking a bottle of port before the flight from Glasgow to London City Airport last year.</p>
<p>He had pleaded guilty to being drunk on an aircraft, for which he was handed a suspended four-month prison sentence.</p>

<p>Judge Nicholas Wood told&nbsp;Isleworth Crown Court some of the language used by Ryan had &ldquo;no place on an aircraft, being directed at cabin crew&rdquo;. He ordered the singer to pay &pound;2,500 compensation to Ms Gordon, &pound;750 to crew member Jade Smith and &pound;510 in costs.</p>
