BOXING legend Frank Bruno has told how violent inmates wanted to kill him when he was sectioned.
The former heavyweight world champ revealed he became a target for other psychiatric patients who he said were high on drugs.
Frank said: "When I went in there some of the guys said they wanted to fight me. The guys are so&nbsp;high because of the drugs they give them and that's what it was like in a lot of the places I went.
"I had people coming up to me and wanting to stab me in one of the places. Sometimes with people you don't know what is going through their head so you've got to be cautious and back off&nbsp;because some of them go for your eyes with their fingers because of the medication they are taking.
"It wasn't nice. It's like One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, seriously, some parts of it."
Dad-of-three Frank was sectioned to a hospital psychiatric unit in 2003 after suffering depression following the collapse of his marriage, and was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
Frank, 62, who is still on medication, was sectioned again in 2012 for five weeks and has since campaigned for improved mental health treatment in the UK.
