Alex Hill reckons it would make a "fast-paced" telly drama that would appeal to a wide audience.
He's starring in one-man show Why I Stuck A Flare Up My Arse For England based on Surrey roofer Charlie Perry's moment of madness at the Euros in 2021. Hill, 23, said: "It feels very much like it's come from a football fan's voice. It's come from watching 15 years of Brentford.
"I would love to adapt this for TV and just call it 'Flare! "It could be a six-part BBC drama.
That would be amazing." He said football is a "great backdrop for telling drama", adding: &ldquo;It always will be. There's definitely room for more authentic football stories. It's a complete dream."
Hill was inspired to write the show after visiting Wembley before England lost to Italy in the final.
He added: "It came as a starting image from that infamous photo of bum-flare man. London was hectic.
I had never seen that volume of people all going mental." The show tours this autumn.
