The head of UK Space Command, Air Vice-Marshal Paul Godfrey, warned Chinese leaders are quietly pumping "billions" into space exploration and developing deadly arsenals from lunar drilling. He&nbsp;warned: "Asteroid mining will be a thing Godfrey in our lifetime."
Vice-Marshal said Beijing was looking at plundering the moon for minerals after a 2020 mission found a new phosphate that could be used as nuclear fusion fuel.
Meanwhile, US Space&nbsp;Command's General James Dickinson added that Beijing has tech that can "grab" satellites in orbit, while Russia has antisatellite missiles that can hit targets travelling at 17,500mph.
