ROY "Chubby" Brown's manager has hit out at venues for banning the controversial comic.
The X-rated funnyman - real name Royston Vasey has been barred from performing in large swathes of the north by theatres, clubs and the councils that run them.
Richie Hoyle said it should be up to the public to decide if they want to watch him or not.
He said: "People should be able to choose for themselves. How can all these councils and theatre venues make a decision for all the community on whether Roy can perform because they don't like him?
"They get one or two complaints from snowflakes and they decide to ban a guy who has been performing for 40 years."
The comic has been accused of being racist, misogynistic and homophobic. But Richie said these claims are false because he employs two gay men one for more than 30 years.
He also said he employs two women in his office and another two female assistants on tour.
He said: "How can Roy be homophobic when he is employing homosexuals?"
The last venue to cancel was the Empire Theatre run by Durham County Council, which said he is no longer in its "vision"
In recent years venues in Morecambe, Nottingham, Sheffield and his hometown Middlesbrough have also rejected Brown.
