SHARKS are getting "high" on cocaine from drug-users' poo, sea-life boffins fear.Scientists tested 13 sharpnose sharks and found their muscles and livers all showed the hallmarks of "chronic exposure" to the drug.Some had concentrations 100 times greater than any sea dwellers tested before.Experts reckon the drug may be getting into the fish - who live off the coast of Brazil - via coke-heads' turds, which are flushed into the South Atlantic Ocean in untreated sewage. Dr Rachel Ann Hauser-Davis, of biological research group the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, said it was probably "due to human use of cocaine in Rio de Janeiro and the discharge of human urine and faeces by sewage outfalls, as well as from illegal labs".Waste from illegal drug factories and smugglers dumping their stashes in the water could also be factors.
