AMID the sheer chaos and mayhem, this was Manchester United in a nutshell.

They were 2-0 down and looked in utter disarray before fighting back to the brink of a memorable victory at Stamford Bridge.

Then, deep into an allotted eight minutes of added time, they conceded a penalty which ice-cold Cole Palmer netted.

As if that wasn’t enough, the boyhood Manchester United fan then scored again in the 101st minute to complete one of the Premier League’s most astonishing, and unlikely, comebacks.

A superb United goal scored by Alejandro Garnacho looked to have broken Chelsea’s hearts but that was only the beginning of the drama.

Mauricio Pochettino had looked like a dead man walking before his late reprieve.

What a crazy game and you can say what you want about United but they can still produce rollercoaster rides.

Chelsea had got off to a flier and were ahead after just four minutes. Malo Gusto broke down the left, his cross deflected off Raphael Varane and fell perfectly for Conor Gallagher to fire home.

Gallagher celebrated wildly and looked so pumped up. It has been one hell of a week after a ridiculous social media campaign accused him of ignoring a ball boy.
