COLEEN Rooney has cried foul over the size of Rebekah Vardy's legal bill as the Wagatha Christie case returns to court.
Though she won, Coleen, 38, was ordered to pay part of Rebekah's legal bill.
But Coleen's lawyers have accused her rival's legal team of running up "unreasonable and disproportionate" costs before the 2022 High Court trial.
Jamie Carpenter KC, for Rebekah, told the specialist costs court in London: "No one was costs building. This was work that absolutely had to be done and it was a huge amount of work."
Barrister Hugh Tomlinson KC had even "worked on the case on Christmas Day."&nbsp;
Neither WAG attended the start of yesterday's preliminary hearing. It arises from an unsuccessful libel action Rebekah, 42, brought against Coleen, who alleged she leaked information about her to the Press.
The judge in that case ordered her to pay 90% of Coleen's legal bill - thought to be over &pound;2 million - and Coleen was told to pay 20% of Rebekah's pre-trial costs.
Yesterday, lawyers for both WAGS returned to court to slug it over the costs.
Robin Dunne, for Coleen, said Rebekah's &pound;325,000 bill for eight weeks' work of which his client would be expected to pay about &pound;65,000 was "disproportionate". Coleen's costs will be considered at a hearing in October.
