A WOMAN is "lucky to be alive" after being headbutted by an angry 70st cow.
Cathrene Mieras, 26, was walking her dog on a lead through a cattle field when she was attacked.
She said: "I thought it was going to kill me. It's the most scared I've been in my entire life.
"I started walking into the field&nbsp;and the next thing I remember is I looked up and this big brown cow was just charging towards me.
She added: "It dipped its head and headbutted me twice. The last thing I remember is this massive head hitting me!"
She was rushed to hospital for an X-ray with a "monster" black eye. The environment officer also&nbsp;suffered jaw pain and couldn't eat solid food for two weeks.
Cathrene put the attack near her home in Carlisle down to the hot weather last month.
She added: "It's going to be a long time before I can be around them, I'm lucky to be alive.
"If there's any doubt in your mind, just avoid them."
