ROYAL Mail has agreed to a &pound;3.6billion takeover offer from Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky's EP Group.
The offer would see EP Group buy Royal Mail owner International Distribution Services for 370p per share.
IDS said the offer would see the postal service continue its universal one-price-goes-anywhere first-class post, six days a week.
The firm's branding and UK headquarters will also be retained, agreed Mr Kretinsky, inset.
And IDS said there is "no intention to make any material changes to overall headcount or reductions in the number of front-line workers" beyond existing plans.
Politicians and unions have aired concerns over the future of the postal service, privatised in 2013.
