OWEN FARRELL has refused to rule out a return to national colours ahead of the next World Cup in 2027.
The former England captain sat out the Six Nations to protect his mental health and will be unavailable to head coach Steve Borthwick when he moves to France next season.
The fly-half has signed a two-year deal with French giants Racing 92, barring him from England selection, but he could return to the Premiership and the Red Rose - after that.
He would be 36 at the World Cup in Australia, two years younger than Ireland's Johnny Sexton, and Farrell's boss at Saracens Mark McCall insists he would be up to the job.
And Farrell himself left the door open for an international return once his stint in Paris is up.
