A BLOKE who spent more than &pound;12,000 on an ultra-realistic dog costume has revealed he is on the hunt for a female companion.
The canine fanatic, known only as Toco-san, has shot to fame in Japan for his quest to become the perfect rough collie.
He keeps his bizarre hobby hidden from friends and colleagues but now wants a "therian" partner, which is a person who feels they are something other than human in a nonbiological sense.
He said: "I think it would be great if something like this existed. I'd like to meet them."
The ideal candidate would share his interest in sitting in cages and walking on a lead.
But he insists there is nothing sexual about it. He added: "I'm just sad that people can think that. I love animals and enjoy play-acting like a collie.
"This is my hobby so I will carry on."
The anonymous man, who used to own a mongrel called Mirai, has more than 56,000 subscribers on YouTube.
He added: "I've wanted to be an animal ever since I can remember. I made it a collie because it looks real."
