DROUGHT OF ORDER

ERIK TEN HAG is determined to end Manchester United's six-year trophy drought after admitting it was "too long" for such an iconic club.

The last trophy United won was the Europa League under Jose Mourinho in 2017 and they have since lost in two finals and reached another four semi-finals.

It is United's longest wait for a trophy for four decades and boss Ten Hag, whose side face Nottingham Forest tonight in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final, said the barren run must end.

"It's too long that this club hasn't won a trophy, we have to get back on track," said Ten Hag.

"It's the best feeling you can have, winning a trophy, and I have had the luck in my career to win some trophies and it's magnificent, especially for the fans.
