Competitors had to submerge a series of biscuits in a hot beverage for the longest time without them breaking - and ensure they stayed intact when removed.
Simon, 35, was victorious with his Chocolate Hobnob after a series of intense rounds where he played a Digestive, Rich Tea and a Gingernut.
He said: "Having a biscuit with my tea has finally paid off." Organiser McVitie's is now urging people to host their own "dunk-offs" with friends, family or colleagues.
The firm's James King said: "Rally your friends or rivals and become a dunking champion.
"Get training and we'll see you at next year's championship."
