300m vermin 'ready to invade our homes

BRITAIN faces being overrun by a plague of 300million super-rats that have grown obese by feasting on fatty takeaway scraps.

Experts say the vermin’s growing resistance to rodent poisons, which have been used since the 1950s, is also behind the surge.

There are also fears there are more of them than ever secretly nesting and breeding in the walls, basements and attics of people’s homes since lockdown.
