A HANDCUFFED suspect shot dead a custody sergeant at a police station after officers failed to spot he had a gun, a jury heard.&nbsp;
Police found cannabis and ammunition when they searched Louis De Zoysa, below, after arresting him in the street.
But they missed an antique revolver hidden in an underarm holster.
Though he was cuffed, the 25-year-old pulled out the gun and fired at Sgt Matt Ratana four times, it was alleged.
One of the bullets killed Sgt Ratana, 54, who had nearly 30 years&rsquo; experience with the Metropolitan Police.
The fourth hit De Zoysa in the neck, leaving him brain damaged, Northampton Crown Court heard.
The shooting was recorded on CCTV at Croydon police station, south London, a jury heard.
